Coffee begins loosing it’s flavor and aromas as soon as it’s roasted. To keep it as fresh as possible, store it away from heat, humidity, oxygen, odors, and light.
• Keep it whole bean until you’re ready to brew a batch.
• An opaque ceramic jar with a rubber gasket is ideal. Light can’t get in. Neither can air. Keep the jar in the cool, dry place.
•Never store coffee beans or grounds in the refrigerator, even in your airtight container. Cheesecake pairs well with coffee, humidity and odors (two things refrigerators are notorious for), don’t.
