Growing up in Costa Rica, coffee plantations were my playground. I ran through the green rows and, at just 9 years old, picked coffee alongside families working hard to feed their tables. My tiny pile each day taught me early: respect for honest work and keeping your word.
Years later in Oregon, I built a food distribution company — only to face the same frustration you probably know too well: unreliable suppliers. Orders short, promises broken, customers disappointed.
That pain led me to start Tico’s Coffee Roasting Co. in 2003 — to become the dependable partner I always wished I had.
